This year the Earth Hour message is to make sustainability a part of our lives all year round. To help achieve this, households, businesses, schools and community groups throughout NSW can take advantage of ongoing programs to save on bills and help the environment.
Cash back to green your home
Rebates are available under the $170 million NSW Home Saver Rebates to make your home more water and energy efficient and reduce carbon pollution.
In you live in NSW you can get:
• $300 for a climate-friendly hot water system
• up to $1500 for a rainwater tank
• $150 for a 5 star water efficient washing machine
• $200 for a 4 star dual flush toilet
• $150 for a hot water circulator unit, and
• $35 to get rid of your second fridge.

Big savings for business
Expert assistance is available to help small, medium and larger businesses improve environmental performance and profitability.
The Energy Efficiency for Small Business Program provides personalised energy assessments, tailored action plans and rebates of up to $5,000 for businesses that spend up to about $20,000 a year on electricity, or employ around 10 people.
The Sustainability Advantage Program provides tailored support to help medium-to-large businesses understand sustainability and improve environmental performance
The Sustainability Advantage Energy Saver offers 50 to 80 per cent subsidies for an energy audit and technical support to implement effective and practical power and money-saving projects.
