Your Impact

When your workplace takes on Challenge 60, you’re joining the world’s biggest movement for nature.

By giving 60 minutes a day for nature and raising vital funds, you’ll be helping to protect and restore our precious planet – creating a future where people and nature thrive together

Together, we can shine a spotlight on nature loss and give Earth a brighter future.

koalas matter

By taking on Challenge 60 to help raise funds for koala's you can help ensure they are protected against the deadly Chlamydia disease; create wildlife corridors to help them move around safely; and protect their forest homes for the long-term.

A donation of $45 could help plant more trees and create homes for thousands of native animals like koalas.

Create a safer world for tigers - and humans too

With less than 5,600 left in the wild, every big cat counts.

Tigers are an endangered species, and their landscapes are under threat.

Raising $80 can help prevent poaching of tigers in Malaysia.

Greater Glider Goals

Greater gliders are losing old-growth forests to logging and development, while climate change brings heat, bushfires and floods. Scarce tree hollows and rising stress leave them increasingly vulnerable.

Raising $150 can help provide special nest boxes for greater gliders to survive in Australia's warming climate.

Track and Protect Whales on Their 'Superhighways'

The oceans have become so dangerous that six out of 13 of the world’s great whale species are now classified as Endangered or Vulnerable.

Raising $250 can help create safe corridors for whales by tracking migration routes, expanding marine sanctuaries and enforcing rules to reduce harm from ships and fishing nets.

  • Mandy Lister just donated $54.12
  • Rachel Clements just donated $59.41

YOU HAVE THE POWER TO GIVE OUR PLANET A BRIGHTER FUTURE

Australia is home to unique wildlife found nowhere else in the world. But sadly, we hold the record for the most mammal extinctions on the planet. Biodiversity loss and climate change continue to accelerate – we urgently need to scale-up solutions to address the crisis. Take part in Challenge 60 and shine a spotlight on nature loss to give our planet a brighter future.

Challenge 60 is part of WWF's shared mission to Regenerate Nature by 2030, to create a future where people live in harmony with nature. The funds you raise will support critical conservation projects that protect our wildlife and wild places. You will be helping to protect and restore our planet for everything that calls it home. What is Challenge 60?

add remove

Challenge 60 Workplace Heroes is part of WWF-Australia’s Earth Hour movement. It is a simple and impactful way for workplaces to give 60 minutes and raise funds to go further for nature. From 1 to 28 March, your team chooses how you will spend your hour: moving outdoors, switching off, creating, connecting or taking meaningful action to help protect and regenerate nature.

WHY SHOULD OUR WORKPLACE GET INVOLVED?

add remove

Participating in Challenge 60 boosts employee wellbeing, strengthens team connection and creates a shared sense of purpose. It encourages time outdoors, inspires positive habits and shows your workplace is committed to protecting the planet we all depend on. It is a meaningful way to build team spirit and make your moves count for nature.

HOW DO WE PARTICIPATE?

add remove

It is easy to get started. Between 1 and 28 March, give 60 minutes once, weekly or every day, and use that time in a way that suits your workplace. You can move, unplug, create, reflect or take action outdoors in nature.

Many workplaces choose to:

  • Take a team nature walk
  • Host a wellbeing session
  • Run a 60 minute digital switch off
  • Use a lunch hour for a clean up, outdoor meeting or group activity

Your challenge is completely flexible. Simply commit to at least one 60 minute activity during the Challenge 60 period.

Do we need to do the activity together?

add remove
No. Your team can take on Challenge 60 individually or come together for a shared hour. What matters is staying connected and contributing to a collective impact, wherever your people are working from.

What support do workplaces receive?

add remove
Once registered, your workplace will receive a toolkit with activity ideas, posters, communication templates and fundraising tips. WWF’s Community Fundraising team will also support you along the way. This includes help with your fundraising page, checking in on your progress and celebrating your team’s achievements.

Is there a fundraising minimum?

add remove
There is no minimum amount required. However, we encourage workplaces to set a collective goal of 500 to 1,000 dollars or more. An ambitious goal can inspire colleagues, build motivation and increase pride in supporting the protection and regeneration of nature for future generations.

How do we track progress?

add remove
You can track your minutes and fundraising on the official Challenge 60 platform or use your own activity trackers and add your updates manually. Your team’s progress will appear on the leaderboard, and we will celebrate your key milestones to keep motivation and engagement high.
